How your CO₂e estimate is calculated
Certif-Scope converts seven expenditure categories into an indicative estimate. The result covers the entered expenditure, rather than all company emissions.
1. Input data
Use annual external expenditure excluding tax, in euros, for the same year. Count each expense only once. Salaries, taxes and internal transactions are excluded. The declared sector identifies the activity and does not change the coefficients. Complete all seven categories; unknown expenditure must not be replaced by zero.
2. Internal coefficients
The table publishes the internal coefficients currently used. No primary source and external data year are documented for each value. They must not be described as certified, externally validated or directly sourced from an official database.

3. Formula and example
Multiply each expenditure amount by its category coefficient, add the kilogram results, divide by 1,000 and round to one decimal place. €1,000 of IT services × 0.30 = 300 kg CO₂e = 0.3 tCO₂e, with all other categories zero. Identical inputs with the same coefficients give the same result; this does not demonstrate environmental accuracy.
4. What the result does not cover
Direct Scope 1 emissions, Scope 2 electricity, a full Scope 3 inventory, a product footprint, invoice validation, an audit or regulatory reporting. Prices and aggregate categories may vary independently of physical emissions. No validated uncertainty interval is provided.
5. Data and verification
Detailed expenditure is calculated in your browser. PDF generation uses the aggregate result and document identification data. Documentary verification does not validate expenditure accuracy or actual emissions.
